Chateau Cantemerle, Haut Medoc 2017

Chteau Cantemerle, Fifth Growth, is one of the oldest properties in the Bordeaux wine region, dating all the way back to the 12th century. Its 92 hectares under vine are planted to 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 delivers notes of crme de cassis, raisin cake and prunes with hints of spice and soil. Full-bodied and fruity, with dried berries and preserved fruit aromas, it has a firm texture, well balanced by just enough freshness, finishing spicy.
