Chateau de Calvieres, Pays d'Oc Espiritu Santo Red 2009
Grape Variety: Syrah, Grenache, Carignan.
Red color with mahogany reflections. The nose opens slowly releasing brandied red cherries, plum and notes of leather and menthol. The dense and fruity palate leaves a very pleasant and fresh finish on ripe red fruits, vanilla and menthol.
The Château de Calvières, a renowned wine estate in the region, practices sustainable agriculture. The vineyard exploited is located in Calces, near Pézenas on the plateau of Nizas.
The estate makes it a point of honor to offer quality wines and works the old-fashioned way, without pesticides. The grapes are picked manually, and the winemaking process orchestrated with accuracy and precision in modern cellars to obtain fine wines with unique flavors.
Marc and Isabelle Hénon, owners of Château de Calvières, acquired this estate after having traveled extensively around the world. Today they invite you to discover their wine production directly on the estate, in a family and friendly atmosphere.
