"The Ferran 2016 Blanc had a rather austere bouquet with pink grapefruit and citrus peel aromas that show a little more delineation than its peers. The palate is fresh on the entry with crisp acidity, fine tension with a pleasant salinity towards the finish. Whilst not a bumper year for dry white Bordeaux, this is a very commendable effort and is worth checking out."

The Wine Advocate 88-90.

The history of Château Ferran dates back to the 18th century when it was owned by Montesquieu before being bought by an old Bordeaux family; the descendants of Joseph Beraud-Sudreau. Since 1999, it is Philippe and Ghislaine Lacoste who direct this vintage. The many renovations of the vineyard and renovation of the cellars undertaken in recent years have been quickly rewarded with many medals and notes from journalists, especially during En Primeurs tastings.

Château Ferran is located on an exceptional terroir, adjoining some of the most famous wines of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. The Château Ferran vineyard stretches over 18 hectares of vines planted on slightly gravelly Miocene limestone-clay ridges.
