Chateau Ormes De Pez, Saint Estephe, Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel 2018

Château Ormes de Pez belongs to the Cazes family who also owns Château Lynch Bages in Pauillac. The 40 hectares vineyard is planted to 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.

The terroir has 3 different types of soil with gravel, clay, and sand. The wine is aged in 50% new French oak barrels for 15 months before bottling.

Ormes de Pez offers a dark ruby color with plum shades. The nose is sweet and fruity (blackcurrant, plum), spicy. The palate is opulent and silky with a good complexity.
