Lobetia comes from the Lobetani, a small pre-Roman Iberian people of ancient Spain, established near where our vineyard stands today. This wine takes part of the heritage and tradition of the land, the same way the Lobetani did.
100% Tempranillo. Organic and Biodynamic Farming. Vino de la Tierra de Castilla.
TASTING NOTES:
Deep cherry colour with a violet shade. Red berries and cherries on the bouquet. On the palate it is fresh and harmonious with long finish.
TERROIRS:
In the province of Cuenca near central Spain, our vineyard is located in an area where wine culture has been around for decades. It sits in an altitude of 800 meters above sea level. The continental mediterranean climate of this territory brings plenty of sunlight to the vineyard, and the clay soil retains water, essential for the health of the vines.
VINIFICATION AND SERVING:
This wine is made from grapes grown at our estate. They have also been farmed 100% organically. The grapes are harvested at night and cold macerated before fermenting. We recommend service at 16ºC. For an even better experience, you can pair it with all kinds of meat and appetizers. This wine's diverse character makes it a good match for barbecue grilled meats or Mexican food.
DOMINIO DE PUNCTUM
Punctum Biodynamic Family Vineyards was founded in 2005 as a family venture by 3 siblings. Our wines are made from grapes grown in our own vineyards, 200 hectares located in the town of Las Pedroñeras, Cuenca. From the beginning, our main motivation has been to offer the highest quality products, made in a natural and environmentally friendly way. To achieve this, we work in close collaboration with nature, using organic and biodynamic farming techniques that respect the natural cycle of the plants and the ecosystem in general. This way, we obtain unique, high quality wines with an unforgettable flavour.
We sit in an altitude of 800 meters above sea level, which ensures intense aromas, freshness and deep colors for our wines. The soil, clay-based and rich in limestone, helps retaining water, essential for the health of the vines.
We reap the benefits of a continental-mediterranean climate, which brings plenty of sunlight hours to our vineyard and ripens the grapes easily. However, during the night the temperature drops and creates a sharp contrast that heightens the aromas and flavors of the wine.
