Gratavinum, Priorat GV5 Red 2013
Gratavinum, Priorat GV5 Red 2013
Blend of Carinyena, Garnatxa.
Inky black, with roasted, fruity aromas, dried plums and graphite. Warming and delicious on the palate, with great balance and perfect evolution. Ripe fruits, soft tannins. Everything in its place. A big wine but with surprising drinkability.
GRATA-VINUM, the contraction of the name of the village of Gratallops and the Latin word for wine, Vinum. The wild and rough landscape of the Priorat, the dramatic struggle for survival of the vines amongst the burning slate soils, the isolation of the area, the stubbornness of nature and life to overcome all obstacles, create the unique environment to capture any wine lovers imagination and dreams. Gratavinum belongs to the Cusin family / Pares Balta. It was created in Gratallops in 2003. They have been certified biodynamic by Demeter since 2014. They have 11 hectares of vineyards, mostly in Gratallops but with some in Porrera. They produce 20,000 bottles of Priorat per year.
